Collaboration: the catalyst for sustainability
We're committed to fostering a circular economy by collaborating to find sustainable solutions. Here are inspiring success stories of companies achieving this vision.
Meininger: Redefining sustainability in packaging
Meininger, a family-owned Thuringian butchery, renowned for its authentic grilled sausages, has embraced sustainability in its retail meat and sausage production. Committed to eco-friendly processes, Meininger sought innovative packaging solutions, crucial for environmental preservation and supporting the circular economy with advanced recycling methods.
In collaboration, we developed an optimal, fully recyclable packaging solution. Utilizing a dual-film approach, we selected Nextflex MPOX 100 for the base and Combiflex R 60 for the top, ensuring product flexibility and longevity. The Nextflex monopolyolefin structure, with its high barrier properties, extends shelf-life, reducing food waste, while Combiflex R's transparency showcases the product. Both materials align with current mechanical recycling technologies, reinforcing our sustainability commitment.
"Sustainability should be reflected in the entire process. Only in this way it will be possible to make a relevant contribution for a circular economy. With this cooperation, we are setting an example of innovation and would like to further initiate a sustainable rethinking process."

Foodlab: The Sustainable Solution for Salmon
In the heart of the Parma Valley lies Foodlab, a leading company in Italy for the processing and marketing of smoked, marinated, and flavored salmon. The company has been our partner for years and collaborates with some of the main Italian retail chains, including Selex and Conad. Foodlab is a company that prioritizes product quality and naturalness, with a strong focus on environmental respect: in fact, they were among the first to request information about new recyclable solutions. And our response was swift.
The initial steps took shape in mid-2019, when we presented the client with a recyclable alternative to the PA/PE compositions used until that time. The final result has been, and continues to be, a success. Work volumes are steadily growing, and today, almost all of Foodlab's vacuum-packed references in neutral film have switched to our Nextflex solution. Moreover, we are completing the final tests and evaluations before transitioning all printed top films from the traditional PA-PE composition to a recyclable solution.
"We are witnessing the realization of a true partnership, built on mutual trust and the sharing of needs to achieve common goals, aiming to grow as companies and be proud of the results obtained together."
