Experience and attention are the key words that guide our business. We do not accept mistakes, especially when it comes to food safety. Every day, our products are subject to targeted checks throughout the process.

From the selection of raw materials and the initial check at the intake, our technical and quality assurance team, guaranteeing the highest product standards traceability at all times, monitors each step. We admit: we are uncompromising with ourselves, because we know that the only way to prove our reliability is by always offering the safest product. Our constant commitment has been acknowledged. Both production plants obtained the BRC Packaging Certification gaining a double AA mark. The proof that we do well, what we do.

BRC Global Standard Packaging

Quality is the link. Both production facilities are certified according to the BRC Packaging Issue 6 standard. Internationally recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), the standard aims to promote food safety along the entire supply chain.

This results in the companies’ duty is to adopt a system for assessing the dangers and risks associated with the production processes, with particular attention to the risks associated with Food Defense and Food Fraud, combined with a constantly updated quality management system. Furthermore, it requires compliance with established standards for work environments, product, process and personnel.

Product safety and control

Product safety begins at the source. Thus, we have established relationships only with suppliers who respect our quality policy and meet our standards. We follow a constant development and improvement plan, through strict control protocols throughout the process with periodically calibrated instruments. Any risk is our enemy. We take all possible measures to identify, eliminate and minimize the risk of chemical, biological or foreign matters contamination in all production departments.

Traceability

We trace all the raw materials throughout the entire manufacturing process, until the distribution of finished goods to the customer and vice versa. With the support of the IT-management system and identification labelling applied to every raw material, semi-finished product or finished product, we never lose sight of anything. By means of sample checks carried out during the year, we test the effectiveness of our own traceability system. This eases the management of possible withdrawals from the market, what, proudly saying, never happened so far.

Hygiene

The access to the production departments is controlled and subject to strict hygiene standards. Visitors, technicians and staffs have to wear disposable garments. The passage through hygiene sluices and hand disinfection before each access are mandatory. We regularly carry out inspections aimed at checking the degree of cleanliness, order and possible risks to which the product may be exposed. In compliance with the law, we manage the disposal of waste in order to prevent its accumulation and the risk of contamination.

Non-compliance

Complaints, internal non-conformities and reports are always handled on time. The check leans on internationally recognized analysis techniques, allowing us to define specific reasons. The information collected is then analysed statistically and examined several times during the year, to identify significant trends and take actions aimed at avoiding the repetition of similar situations.

Staff training

We teach newly hired personnel about procedures, good hygiene and work practices, product safety and quality and the production process. We organize training and updating sessions sharing new procedures, work methods and activities related to safety and quality. By monitoring the skills, we ensure that everyone adopts all information correctly.

Energy certification

Save to improve. The aim of the international standard DIN EN ISO 50001 is to support companies in a process of continuous improvement of their performance, especially related to energy efficiency: doing more with less. Our production plant in Germany has implemented this principle ever since, obtaining certification in 2011.

Starting from 2001, 14,000 tons less CO2 have been emitted and the energy efficiency has overall been improved by 17.9%. All our employees are involved in this process and thanks to their dedication and creativity, contribute to ensuring continuous progress. Our goal is to save at least 1% of energy each year.
